TRASH
Village TRASH PICKUP is weekly on Thursdays.  Items should be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on pickup days.  When a holiday falls on Thursday, garbage pickup is normally scheduled for Friday, on the day following the holiday.

LARGE ITEM PICKUP
The Village sponsors four LARGE ITEM PICKUP days throughout the year.  These special pickup days are for items that normally would not be accepted as regular weekly trash pickup items.  Such items for pickup could include old appliances, furniture, etc. that are too large to be included in the regular pickup.  All doors, compressors and electric motors must be removed from appliances.  No construction materials, garbage, landscape waste, grass clippings, leaves, tires or gas tanks will be picked up.  These items must be placed at the curb and be ready for pickup by 6:00 a.m.

RECYCLING
RECYCLE ITEMS will be picked up at the curb on the first and third Thursday of every month.  Items that can be included are glass, tin cans, aluminum, type 1 and 2 plastics.  These items can be commingled, but should be kept separate from your regular trash pickup items.  Recycle items should be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on the designated days.

PAPER RECYCLING
Residents are encouraged to RECYCLE PAPER ITEMS by taking their newspapers, and paper to the yellow and green recycling bins on the parking lot at Valmeyer School.
